Starting this weekend, Deborah will have 6 pieces in the Summer Show at Eduardo Alessandro Studios Broughty Ferry.

From next weekend, Deborah will be showing five pieces in the Summer Show at the Milton Gallery at Milton of Crathes near Banchory. Father, Douglas Phillips will also be showing 2 paintings in the show.

Has spring sprung?
It certainly seems so. The sun is shining, crocuses are in bloom, Easter Eggs are on supermarket shelves, March is just around the corner and there is news of lots of Spring exhibitions!
Spring Fling at the Rowan Gallery, Helensburgh opens this weekend. Deborah will have 4 images on show
Deborah will also have 4 pieces on show from 7th March in the Spring Scottish Show at Regatta Fine Art,Burnham Market, Norfolk
To the other end of the country, Just Art in Fochabers will be showing 8 new pieces from 14th March in their Spring Exhibition.
The Hunter Gallery, Long Melford will have 8 pieces on show in their Easter Exhibition starting 21st March
The Torrance Gallery in Edinburgh commence their Spring Show from 27th March in which Deborah will be showing 4 pieces then last, but certainly not least, The Aberfeldy Gallery will have 5 new pieces in their Spring Show which commences 4th April.
...and finally, not forgetting Deborah's 3 person show continues at the Strathearn Gallery, Crieff until 21st March.

This coming Saturday, 14th February, sees the opening of an exciting 3 person show at the Strathearn Gallery in Crieff. Deborah will have 24 striking paintings on show. Most of the images are already posted up on the Strathearn Gallery website and are available to buy now.

Although there hasn't been much happening with the website since November, lots has been happening behind the scenes! The studio has been a busy place, with painting and preparations for the Christmas Shows. However, now that the Festive Season is behind us, normal website service is resumed! Watch this space for news of forthcoming exhibitions and images of new work.
For a' That at the Leith Gallery
Deborah will have paintings on show at an exhibition of artwork inspired by the work of Robert Burns at the Leith Gallery.
For A' That, featuring works inspired by the poet, opens just before Burns' Night on 21st January will run until 19th February.

Today sees the opening of the Atholl Gallery - Dunkeld - Autumn Exhibition featuring 15 of Deborah's paintings.
The show runs from Saturday 27th September until 27th October and the gallery is open from 11am-5pm daily including Sundays.

More Summer Show News Firefly Summer at the Rowan Gallery, Drymen The end of July sees the opening of Firefly Summer, the summer exhibition which has Deborah as the featured artist showing 12 vibrant works.
Deborah will also be showing work, during August, with the Strathearn Gallery at the BMA - British Medical Association, 14 Queen Street, Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival. The private view is Friday 1st August from 6.30pm-8.30pm. Opening hours are Tuesday-Sunday (closed Monday) 12 noon-6pm.

Summer Shows
The Hunter Gallery, Long Melford in Suffolk is currently hosting their Summer Exhibition in which Deborah is showing 8 pieces. The exhibition runs until 10th September and can be viewed on-line at www.thehuntergallery.com
Saturday 5th July sees the opening of the Juno Gallery Summer Show. Deborah will have 10 pieces on show alongside the work of Francis Boag. This colourful exhibition runs until 15th August.
La Vacanza Colora (Summer Colours) opens at Galleria Luti, Callander on Saturday 5th July until Wenesday 3rd September. Deborah will have 4 works on show.

St.Columba's Hospice Art Exhibition Deborah will have 3 works for sale at the St.Columba's Hospice Art Exhibition. A percentage of all proceeds will go to St.Columba's Hospice. The exhibition will take place in Freemason's Hall, 96 George Street, Edinburgh from Thursday 5th June - Saturday 7th June. The show opens at 11am each day and closes 7pm Thursday and Friday, and 5pm on Saturday.

Summer Blooms...in aid of the University of Dundee Botanic Gardens.
The "Summer Blooms" exhibition at the Queen's Gallery, Dundee opens on Friday night with a percentage of every sale being donated to the University of Dundee Botanic Garden. A very worthwhile cause - the Botanic Garden is a wonderful asset which we should all support. Deborah will have 4 framed works on show and available to buy along with a small unframed painting which she has donated to the silent auction. All proceeds of the silent auction will be donated to the Botanic Garden.

Saturday 24th May sees the opening of an exciting 2 woman show at the Aberfeldy Gallery. Deborah will be showing 24 vibrant landscapes alongside Joyce Borland. Deborah will be having an exciting 2 woman exhibition with the exceptionally talented and skilled printmaker Barbara Robertson at Eduardo Alessandro Studios, Broughty Ferry from 5th April until 3rd May 2008. Both Barbara and Deborah will be on hand at the gallery for a meet and greet between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 5th April. Hope to see you then. 3 September 2007 The Rock Trust is a charity that works in Edinburgh and West Lothian with homeless and socially excluded young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years. The Trust's aim is to provide opportunities for young people to develop the personal, social and practical skills, as well as the sense of self worth necessary for independent adult life. From 17th September until 6th October The Rock Trust will be mounting a unique exhibition of postcards by well-known artists,cartoonists and celebrities at the Traverse Theatre. The postcards will then be sold in a silent auction in aid of the Trust Deborah will have a small painting in the exhibition waiting for bids!!!(see Verdant Law in the Galleries section) Learn more about the Rock Trust at www.rocktrust.org

Deborah is soon to participate in the Newcastle Gateshead Art Fair. Her work will be represented at the Fair by Eduardo Alessandro Studios of Broughty Ferry, Dundee
The Newcastle Gateshead Art Fair will be the first of its kind in the region to showcase artwork from leading modern and contemporary art galleries from within the UK and abroad. It will be the largest commercial selling exhibition of original artwork ever held in the North of England.
The Art Fair will launch on the evening of 10th May with a VIP evening and will be open to the public over the following three days, 11th-13th May, 2007. Tickets will cost £5 if purchased in advance or £6 on arrival. The fair will take place in the unique internationally renowned setting of the Gateshead Quays.

16th June 2006 Today sees the opening of an exhibition at the Queens Gallery, Dundee in aid if Dundee Heritage Trust. A proportion of the sale of each painting will benefit the Trust along with the entire proceeds of a silent auction of donated work. Deborah has 3 works in show, Autumn Leaves, Angus, Bridgefoot Flockand Weedy Undergrowth, Balmerino as well as a small donated work called Flock!

2 new hand embellished limited edition (75)giclee prints produced by Art from Scotland have just been released. Titles are Butterybank Cottages and Snowy Balgay Birches. These images can be viewed in the Main Gallery or by clicking the Art from Scotland website link.
Tartan 2CV have just added another one of Deborah's paintings to their range of cards. Tall Grass at Tyle Cottages is the 6th painting to be reproduced as a card by Tatan 2CV and will also feature in the 2007 Scotland's Artists calendar.
